Environmental Groups Are Loosing Their Charity Status

In recent years several environmental charity groups are loosing their charity status around the world. There is big money at stake here. Greenpeace has now announced that they have become non-violent.

Greenpeace
In New Zealand, Greenpeace lost their charity status in 2010 because of advocate illegal acts.
‘Greenpeace New Zealand is fighting to gain charitable status after it was turned down by the Charities Commission for advocating peace and indirectly encouraging illegal activity.”

“While Greenpeace did not directly advocate illegal acts, its advocacy of "non-violent direct action" had involved Greenpeace members acting illegally, the commission said.”

In 1989, Greenpeace lost it’s charity status in Canada amid concerns the organization was not providing a discernible benefit to the public.

“Revenue Canada, the tax-collecting arm of the government, has refused to recognize the new Greenpeace Environmental Foundation as a charity, saying its activities have no public benefit"

Greenpeace has now announced that they have become non-violent. I wonder why that is? Greenpeace earned 161 million euro dollars or 218 million US dollars in 2010.

Sea Shepherd Society

The Sea Shepherd Society has tried to set up charities in both Australia and New Zealand. It was denied each time. The Sea Shepherd Society has lost it charity status in Canada as well.

“THE Australian Tax Office is right to deny Sea Shepherd charitable status.”

The Sea Shepherd Society can get very violent so I would expect to see them loose more of their charities in the years ahead.

Sea Shepherd Society is a registered charity in the following countries only. Everywhere else they either didn’t get charity status or they lost it.

Greenpeace Get Their Butts Kicked by French Fishermen

A Greenpeace environmental protester from London has been injured with a grappling hook while on a raid against tuna fishing boats, Greenpeace has said.

Frank Hewetson was injured when Greenpeace ambushed the French vessels in the Mediterranean. He is now recovering in hospital. Mr Hewetson was on one of two inflatable craft trying to collapse the fishermen's net to prevent them catching tuna.

A Greenpeace spokesman said the fishermen had an "extremely violent" reaction to their raid.

Sathoan's Wendling said French fishermen need protection from Greenpeace.

"We have requested the French state intervene and ensure the security of our sailors," he said. Jean-Marie Avallone, owner of the boat involved, accused Greenpeace of acting like "brigands."

As Greenpeace posted a video of the incident on the Internet, Wendling said Saturday that fishermen feared further action by environmentalist groups competing for publicity and donations. Greenpeace lawyer Alexandre Faro said he would be lodging a complaint for alleged wounding and assault with Paris prosecutors on Monday.

France's national fisheries body backed the fishermen Saturday, saying they "were attacked by helmeted Greenpeace activists, equipped for and engaged in a violent operation -- the destruction of a work tool."

The Federation of Maltese Aquaculture Producers also slammed the Greenpeace activists, saying they had "sought confrontation, and got the confrontation they wanted." Greenpeace "alone bear the blame for the consequences of yesterdays incidents," the federation said in a statement.

The federation noted that a French patrol boat which was in the vicinity called the activists by radio and commanded them to desist because the fishing expedition was being conducted legally and was being monitored properly; the activists did not obey the command and, according to press releases issued by Greenpeace, they insisted that they didn’t care whether the fish was being caught legally.

"The Greenpeace activity was violent and unlawful. They alone bear the blame for the consequences of yesterday’s incidents."

Animal Rights Activists 'behind farm arson attack'

A 72 year old man in England, Keith Stephens, writes an article for the Farmer magazine about culling badgers. Of course, the animal rights people located there are not too happy with it. How do they respond?? Did they write in a rebuttal perhaps, try and persuade the man that he had his facts wrong?? No way. Animal rights proceeded to burn his barn down, pour battery acid over his 3 cars and took down yards of fencing and uproot the fence posts. Then offensive slogans were spray-painted across the doors of a barn.(before they burned it down) The damage estimate is at 60 thousand dollars over a one year period. Animal rights harassed this elderly couple for a year.

Real nice message animal rights is leaving to the world. Do as we demand or you will pay the price. It kind of reminds me of the way Hitler used to operate.

Mr Stephens has run 20-acre Acorn Farm, with 100 sheep, for 50 years. He lives there with wife Pat age 70.

PETA Protesting KFC

PETA has been protesting Kentucky Fried Chicken ( KFC) for close to 7 years. In PETA'S own words-- "PETA has been pressuring fast-food chain KFC to stop the worst abuses of chickens, like scalding birds to death, slitting their throats while they're still conscious, and drugging and breeding them to grow so large that they cripple beneath their own weight." While the propandga about KFC is very well done, how does all this protesting show in the bottom line of KFC. How much has PETA affected the business and profits of KFC after 7 years?

The answer might surprise you. KFC's business has never been better. Profits and sales are way up and in fact much better then the company predicted. PETA'S 7 years of protesting appears to have no effect what-so-ever on their business.

Yum Brands' profit jumps 18%, beats forecasts

"LOUISVILLE (AP) — Chain restaurant operator Yum Brands (YUM) said Tuesday that its fiscal third-quarter profit climbed 18%, thanks in part to robust business in China.

The company that owns Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut earned $334 million, or 69 cents a share, for the period that ended Sept. 5. That compares with a profit of $282 million, or 58 cents a share, during the same period last year.

Yum, which operates nearly 3,300 restaurants in mainland China, said sales in the country rose 10%. That excludes a 1-percentage-point benefit of foreign currency conversions.

Excluding one-time items, the company's quarterly profit amounted to 70 cents a share.

Revenue for the quarter fell 2% to $2.78 billion, down from $2.84 billion last year.

Analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters expected Yum to earn 58 cents a share, excluding one-time items, on revenue of $2.79 billion.

Officials at the Louisville-based company said they were boosting their full-year profit forecast, thanks to the stronger-than-expected performance in China. The company now expects to earn $2.14 a share for the year. That's up from its previous forecast of $2.10 a share.

Yum operates more than 36,000 restaurants in 110 countries.

Its shares climbed 39 cents to $35.25 in after-hours trading Tuesday after closing at $34.86 during regular trading."

Hot Car Kills Dog of SPCA CEO

Robin Star left her blind dog in her hot car for four hours while she went to work as chief executive officer of the Richmond SPCA.

Yes, Robin Starr should be held to a higher standard. However, in no way does the accidental death of her family pet strengthen her position as CEO of the Richmond SPCA; on the contrary, I am not even sure she should remain in that position. Robin Starr should lose her job, because she did something most of us would be prosecuted for. It took 7 days for her to come up with this story for damage control. If not it will just hurt the SPCA’s reputation even more than she already has. I do not see how she could possibly keep her position without losing many loyal volunteers, and donors. Practice what you preach and TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for what you did. She has proven by her own actions that she would not show such understanding had this exact incident happened to me.

Is this story by Citizen newspaper untrue? Citizen recounted a story of a K9 officer charged with neglect when the Air Conditioning failed in his cruiser. Robin Starr pressured the DA to bring charges. The officer was charged and the judge found him not-guilty because of mechanical failure. Of course the officer didn't kill his dog on purpose but Robin Starr wanted him to pay anyway.

Robin Starr and or her husband are guilty of animal cruelty!...They should be charged under the Animal Care and Protection Act as well as conspiracy for hold back the truth for seven days. She is trying to use her husband to take the blame and cover for her so she can keep her well paying AR job. Under Virginia Law you are responsible for what happens in your vehicle. If anyone else had done this and the animal died, the person or persons would have been arrested….My vote would be to fire her from her nice cushion job and the Commonwealth Attorney bring forth the charges so she can have the judge fine and sentence her. Heat kills Labrador retriever left in car on Bainbridge

"Bainbridge Island police report that a woman inadvertently left her dog, a black Lab named "Bear," in her car for a couple of hours on Thursday.

When she found the animal, it was dead.

The woman returned home at 11 a.m. but forgot the dog was in car. She began looking for the animal in the car several hours later.

Police say the car's windows were apparently closed. Investigators determined that outside temperatures ranged from 70.02 to 80 degrees but could have reached from 110 to 120 degrees inside the vehicle.

The case will be forwarded to prosecutors for possible charges."

Heatwave kills unsheltered dog August 26, 2009

Gold Coast dog owners whose Rhodesian ridgeback died after being tied to the clothes line in searing heat this week are likely to face charges.

The RSPCA received a complaint about the treatment of the dog after its death on Monday from heat stress at a residence near Hope Island.

The couple are likely to be charged under the Animal Care and Protection Act.

Up date- The Robin Starr incident has now gone national with 389 news articles. Richmond Animal Care and Control is investigating the death of a pet belonging to the head of the Richmond SPCA. "At this time, charges are not forthcoming for Robin Starr," and added the case is under investigation."

Now, I do realize that this was an accident but if it was me that did it, I would be talking to a lawyer right about now.

Animal Rights Are Trying To Control Us.

The animal rights groups of the world today spend large sums of money trying to control our lives. To them, we must never eat any meat or wear any wool or leather. No milk shall be given to our children either. Even honey from bees is off limits.

The animal rights movement never stood a chance. As long as they put animals ahead of people, the average person will never agree with them. As long as the cow is more important than hungry children looking for a glass of milk. As long as the sheep is more important than using the wool to stay warm. As long as they try to eliminate critical medical research looking for a cure for AIDS.

After looking closely at the animal rights movement for a few years, their main purpose to me seems to be the fundraising. Hundreds of millions of dollars are raised worldwide each year. Just try and imagine how much good that kind of money could do to help hungry children?

All over the internet I see posts about stopping the seal hunt on the east coast of Canada. Yes, most people will not like to see young white seal pups killed. Well that's good because the white coats haven't been hunted since 1978. What you are reading about the sealing industry in mostly bullshit.

The biggest money to be made today, is not in the hunting of the seals, it's in the protesting of the seal hunt. Millions of dollars are raised in this manner every year. To actually hunt the seals, I am going to need a crew, a boat, lots of time, expense money and be willing to take some big risks. To protest the seal hunt, all I need is a computer. I can sit at home and pump out the propaganda. I am safe, warm,well fed, got my hot coffee with me too. Just send me your money so I can save the white seal pups that are not even hunted anymore.

That's 16 million dollars made from only one animal rights group. I wonder what the total dollars raised world wide is?? Anti-sealing protesting is big business today.

Why do some many people get conned into sending their money to people who really do nothing for the seal pups at all?? The protest groups really don't want to see the seal hunt stopped at all. The seal protest industry would not want their biggest meal ticket to stop. What would they do then?? Heaven forbid that some of them might have to get a real job!!

But they do have a few hidden agenda's here as well. Zoocheck does not like zoos, they would like to eventually see them all closed and go to a different kind of zoo. My guess would be like a free range zoo or open air type. The small private zoos which Zoocheck calls roadside zoos are especially hated.Zoo report-"Organizations like Zoo Check, CAPS and Born Free are for the most part anti-everything to do with zoos. They advocate the abolishment of keeping wild animals in captivity, and often latch onto small events and blow them up much larger than life in order to sway public opinion.

"Zoocheck is not afraid to get involved in animal and wildlife issues. I see they protest against dog fighting, the seal hunt in Canada, circus's, pet trade and more. They even give Activist Training Workshops or in other words, they train people how to be a animal activists. (like we really need more of those) Why would anyone even want to train more animal rights activists??

Zoocheck quite enjoys playing the mind games that most animal rights extremists play. They will arrive at the zoo unannounced, secretly move about the zoo ignoring any "off limit signs." They will go wherever they want looking for "the dirt" to write about. And they will keep searching till they find something to write in their report. The reports mostly read the same, varying just a little-Filthy, cages are covered in feces, cages are too small, wrong shape, too dark, too light, animals aren't fed properly, animals have no water, no staff present.

Zoocheck's budget in Canada for 2006. They raised about 250.000 thousand dollars.We need to be more careful where our donations are going! Look carefully into the animal rights organizations that you might want to support. Do a good search on the internet. Some of these organizations have good intentions and use the donated money properly in the best interests of the animals. Some may not.
